When the 2023 Acura Integra was revealed it set the internet ablaze with polarized opinions. Some welcomed the new direction that Acura was going while others stood firmly against it; even launching the #NotMyIntegra hashtag. The more moderate-minded decided to wait and see how the liftback actually drove before passing judgement.

In our first drive of the 2023 Acura Integra, we found a lot to like. While the Integra doesn’t do much in the way of nostalgia for previous models, it did offer up a fun driving experience that is quite similar to the spirited fun found behind the wheel of the 2022 Honda Civic Si. That isn’t surprising considering that the current Integra and Civic share the same platform.

Despite the above average driving dynamics and adequately luxurious interior, its understandable if some people aren’t convinced. It’s one thing for Acura to bring back the Integra as an up-market Civic alternative, but fans of the previous models (and purists) want to see the new platform pushed to its limit.

Thanks to some spy shots from AllCarNews, we may have got our first glimpse at the first 2024 Acura Integra Type S performance variant. Their photography ninjas have spied a 2024 Acura Integra on the road and even though the vehicle is completely covered in tent-style camo, its silhouette gives it away. Especially from the front view where the Integra’s tell-tale massive grille gives it away.

However, what really gave this car away was the rear view. It can be clearly seen that this Integra is sporting the same triple exhaust tips similar to those found on the 2023 Civic Type R. AllCarNews speculates that the exhaust tips are a clear symbol that this is a 2024 Integra Type S in disguise undergoing public road testing.

It is a compelling argument considering the evidence at hand. Of course there is no official word from Acura regarding these images but as soon as we get more information we’ll be all over it.
