Lexus UX 250h: More desirable and sporty

Lexus is introducing a set of upgrades this summer for its Lexus UX 250h hybrid compact SUV, with a wider choice of styles, an improved multimedia system and connectivity, as well as a new sporty finish dubbed F SPORT Design.

Launched in 2019, the UX is the entry-level crossover of the Lexus brand. Built on the GA-C global architecture platform, it benefits from a lower centre of gravity and a high-rigidity chassis for a comfortable ride and faithful reactions to the driver’s demands. The UX 250h can also be equipped with the optional E-Four all-wheel drive.

New multimedia system

UX now benefits from a new multimedia system that is more responsive, more intuitive, more human-centric, and offers increased functionality. Depending on the finish, the models are equipped with an 8- or 12-inch screen with touch technology replacing the old trackpad.

The significantly increased computing power implies increased responsiveness, while “permanently connected” cloud-based navigation is provided as standard, giving access to real-time road and traffic information to facilitate route planning. The new voice recognition system provides access to the “Hey Lexus” on-board assistant, which allows, for example, to ask for fuel prices at the nearest stations as well as other local information.

New F SPORT Design finish

The F SPORT Design finish is distinguished by a specific finish of the grille and bumpers, but also by an enriched equipment (10-spoke alloy wheels, synthetic leather upholstery, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, rearview camera, etc.). In addition, the steering of the UX F SPORT has been improved and the damping has been revised for more driving pleasure.

Finally, enhancements to the UX’s Lexus Safety System+ enhance the performance of the pre-collision safety system, equipping the vehicle with Intersection Turning Assist for safer left and right turns at intersections, and Emergency Steering Assist, which helps the driver avoid obstacles without leaving their lane.
