Skoda reinvents the wagon with the Vision 7S concept
Generally, when a manufacturer announces a change of style, it does so by first presenting the outer lines. At Skoda, it’s quite the opposite: the first draft of the Vision 7S concept reveals what could be the interior of a future large electric wagon.
If Skoda has so far shown only one illustration of its Vision 7S concept, the regulars of the brand can be reassured: the generous space and the original solutions are always on the program. Thus, the concept promises room for 7 people on 3 rows of seats, but also some peculiarities such as a child seat that can be integrated into the center console (the safest place in a vehicle), backrests of the front seats equipped with supports for multimedia devices and a backpack integrated into each seat.
Very fashionable, adaptive lighting is also on the program, as well as the many touch and haptic controls, on the steering wheel and door panels. Another must of the moment is the use of so-called “sustainable” materials.
More surprisingly, the cabin offers two configurations. One for driving, the other for relaxation. In driving mode, all control elements are in an ideal position and the central touch screen is oriented vertically to optimally display relevant information. In relaxation mode, the steering wheel and dashboard move forward and the seats in the first and second rows move back into a more relaxed sitting position. An option offering passengers maximum space and comfort.
Even if it means wasting your time during charging, you might as well do it in the most pleasant way possible. Simply clever, right?
